This year we celebrated Kosmos his 5th birthday with a big party. We spent lots of time preparing and deciding the menu for the party. Kosmos wanted lots of yummy food for his friends and a piñata. His wishes were a command, so Mami made some Mexican dishes and Daddy made delicious pizzas. Everything was decorated with animal motifs and Mami and Daddy baked more than 200 animal gingerbread! Our neighbors were of great help, Nick and Daya baked the cake, Rebecca painted faces during the party, others helped us to organize activities for the kids, and all the Mexicans were ready at the piñata time which was a success and no injuries occurred. Americans thought that the piñata is supposed to hang still in one place, so they got very impressed when we implemented a system to swing it inside the community room. Kosmos was really happy and enjoyed very much his party. I, on the contrary, will wait another 5 year to make another party ;). Just kidding! Kosmos also got to share cupcakes at daycare with his friends as a second celebration.

We had lots of fun this last autumn. Our neighbors organized a harvest party and the kids definitely ruled the party! Finally, Kosmos got what is Halloween about. Normally he doesn't want to wear a custom and ends up knocking three houses and the he gets bored. This year he go it! He knocked many doors along with his friends and collected many candies.

Quedamos exhaustos!

We hike a little mountain the first day, Kosmos was a very agile leader. When we reached the top, we enjoyed yummy wild blue berries and a beautiful landscape. On the way back, we got lost on a different trial and had to walk back very fast before the dusk come. At the end we won over the darkness and walked for 5 hrs!!! Kosmos hiked at least 70% of the time, he is such a strong boy! The next day, we went swimming to the lake and got back home afterwards. We were exhausted by then!

Mayo y Junio/ May and June

Visita a Canada / Visit to Canada

This year we had several blizzards, one specially strong that brought more than half a meter of snow. Kosmos didn't go to daycare for dos days and the universities are closed. We had so much fun playing with snow and our neighbors!
